This can be handled by the standard RedCloth library. I've added this.
Once we do the following, we can resolve this;
- CSS formatting to make extended field label's top verical aligned rather than center for extended field multiline values
A nice to have later, might be to handle common ways of formatting text areas (wordpress, markup, etc.), particularly links

This work has been completed and merged to master (including css to vertically align the label to the top). Resolving ticket.
