Reported by Jonah Brown | July 25th, 2011 @ 09:25 AM
I am using Ruby Rails 3.0.7 I have tried both the gem install and git install. I have out the uses_tiny_mce in my views controller and get "undefined local variable or method `uses_tiny_mce' .
Here is what is in my views controller:
class HtmlmesController < ApplicationController
def index uses_tiny_mce :options => {
:theme => 'advanced',
:theme_advanced_resizing => true,
:theme_advanced_resize_horizontal => false,
:plugins => %w{ table fullscreen }
}
@htmlcode = Htmlme.new
@htmlme = ""
end
def create
@htmlcode = Hhtmlme.new(params[:htmlmes])
@htmlme = Graphicad.find(params[:id])
render :action => "index"
end
end
Can I get some halp on what to do?

Unfortunately I don't have time to track this down and the latest code is problematic with later versions of Rails (due to jQuery issues, I believe). I recommend you explore other TinyMCE plugins for Rails or ask on http://groups.google.com/group/rubyonrails-talk.
In the long run (post Rails 3.1 release), this gem should become depreciated as the new way of handling JavaScript (the asset pipeline) should make including JS libraries much simpler.
Good luck,

I should have phrased "jquery issues" as "jquery conflicts".
