I'm having trouble with the TinyMCE plugin and Firefox. It works fine in IE, but when I try it on Firefox, no data is sent back to the server/controller for the textarea. Any ideas?

Hello, I have purchased the TinyMC File Manager plug-in and I am attempting to install on my Ruby website - http://applerldp.techitweb.com/. I have copied the files to the correct path and changed the config files. It does not seem to be working and I am was wondering if I am missing a step to implement in Ruby. Hello, I am using the new tiny_mce.yml file to configure global TinyMCE options and I override the configuration in a single controller as I need only the vary basic options. The problem is when TinyMCE loads is not using the options specified in the controller and it uses "some" of the options specified in the configuration file. For example in the controller I have configure it to use the simple theme but it loads the advance theme and with the toolbars misconfigured (a few buttons are missing). Thanks, Konstantinos

the include_tinymce_if_needed method seems to be sticking in the <script> tag wherever it feels like: @@@<div id="conten<script type=" text="" javascript"="" src="http://thebirn.com/javascripts/tiny_mce/themes/advanced/langs/en.js?1259377024">t">@@@ A refresh usually fixes it, but this happens on probably one out of every 4 page loads, and it's always in a different place.

I am having a problem passing configuration information for plugins, and I believe I have isolated the problem. My "plugins" configuration contains: plugins: insertdatetime The configuration for it is supposed to be: plugin_insertdate_dateFormat : %m/%d/%Y I believe the problem is occurring in OptionValidator.valid? The statement: @@valid_options.include?(option) || (plugins && plugins.include?(option.split('_')[0])) || option =~ /^theme_advanced_container_\w+$/ The value passed in "option" is "plugin_insertdate_dateFormat", so the [0] index of the split is returning "plugin", which does NOT exist in the plugins array. Unfortunately, even if this were changed to grab the [1] index entry, it still would not work since "insertdatetime" did not create its configuration entry as "plugin_insertdatetime_???" The only solution I can see (easily) would be to add the plugin configuration parms to valid_tinymce_options.yml but I honestly do not see how that would be maintainable. Otherwise, just blanket accept any configuration that starts with "plugin_" Hopefully, you can see a better way to handle this standard plugin specifically, and this problem in general. THANKS!

Hello, I was wondering what the supported version of Rails the plugin supports. When doing the rake install, I get: rake tiny_mce:install (in /Users/dever/Documents/Redstone/Web_Site/Application/RS) rake aborted! undefined method `public_path' for Rails:Module I'm assuming it's trying to find a method for the public content path and I'm not sure if that's something new in Rails 2.3.x. The application I'm working on is currently running Rails 2.0.2. Thanks much, Mark

I am loading my tinyMCE text area from a domain like http://www.<domain>.com/ but the javascript files are served through a different domain http://static.<domain>.com/ so when I select one of the tinyMCE plugins that cause a popup (i.e. Insert Link) I get a blank popup window with "{#advanced_dlg.link_url}" as the title. I understand from other forums that this is because of cross domain security, and the solution for other has been to host the JS from the same domain, but in my RoR solution this is not an option, I noticed the "Uncomment and change this document.domain value if you are loading the script cross subdomains" in the tiny_mce_popup.js file but when changing that to http://static.<domain>.com/ i still receive the same area. <div>I am loading my tinyMCE text area from a domain like <a href="http://www">http://www</a>..com/ but the javascript files are served through a different domain <a href="http://static">http://static</a>..com/ so when I select one of the tinyMCE plugins that cause a popup (i.e. Insert Link) I get a blank popup window with "{#advanced_dlg.link_url}" as the title. I understand from other forums that this is because of cross domain security, and the solution for other has been to host the JS from the same domain, but in my RoR solution this is not an option, I noticed the "Uncomment and change this document.domain value if you are loading the script cross subdomains" in the tiny_mce_popup.js file but when changing that to <a href="http://static">http://static</a>..com/ i still receive the same area. Hi I'm trying to use the tiny_mce plugin in a project. Using script/plugin install I installed the git repository, ran rake tiny_mce:install and proceeded to add uses_tiny_mce in my controller. However I keep getting this error: undefined local variable or method `uses_tiny_mce' for #<CampaignsController:0xb5b23760> $ ls vendor/plugins/tiny_mce/ lists all the files, they are there.
